Hiking Dugger Trail in Prime Leaf Season

Blue Ridge Mountain Club Development Manager Patrick Warren, photographer Todd Bush and I went on a hike yesterday to the Dugger Gorge. The Dugger trail is now complete and it is a gorgeous trek. It really is a very special place tucked in the heart of Blue Ridge Mountain Club. If you usually stick to the main stretch and beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Parkway, you wouldn’t even know it existed. There is a whole other world and habitat in the valleys and gorges that can’t be experienced from the ridge-tops. These are some of the photos I snapped along the hike, but you really have to see it to believe the beauty.
